Positive Footprints has taken home the award for Most Inspiring Training Programme at the UK Inspire Awards 2019.
The Burnley based personal development programme provider works with schools across the country to help raise the aspirations of young people.
Positive Footprints was singled out by judges for its work with The Regenda Group to inspire young people to follow a career in construction, an area where there is a real skills shortage across the UK.
Through the Raising Aspirations programme, Positive Footprints gets pupils to discover their personal skills, qualities and passions, think about their futures and develop key skills associated with the world of work in a fun and engaging way.
The programme is an out of box solution for schools, with all the necessary materials provided for teachers to deliver the programme in the classroom. This is brought to life with career carousels where the children interact with real businesses in the school, opening up the world of work.
Staff from Positive Footprints celebrated their triumph at a glittering ceremony in Manchester on Wednesday 5 June.
Lesley Burrows, Managing Director of Positive Footprints, said: “We are delighted to follow up our success at the UK Career Development Awards with another national award win.
“Our programmes are designed to improve social mobility through raising aspirations and inspiring young people, so it is fantastic to be recognised by the Inspire Awards.
“It has been a huge 12 months for Positive Footprints, and we are looking forward to even more success in the future.”
Positive Footprints provided programmes which have helped teachers deliver more than 50,000 hours of careers-led learning and facilitated careers events, resulting in children meeting around six businesses each.
